Wellington's job market
Wellington is home to government agencies, technology companies, film and creative industries and professional services. Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt and Porirua add manufacturing, logistics and healthcare roles.
Study in the capital
Wellington's universities and polytechnics offer programmes in law, public policy, design, IT and more. Graduates may use the Post Study Work Visa to gain experience in the capital's diverse workforce.
Visa pathways
Skilled workers often come through the AEWV and later move to Skilled Migrant Category or Green List residence. Government roles may have citizenship or security clearance requirements to consider.
