What the Green List is
The Green List includes roles that are hard to fill in New Zealand, such as many healthcare, engineering, construction, ICT and trade occupations. It gives faster or simpler residence options for eligible workers.
Tier 1: Straight to Residence
Tier 1 roles let you apply for residence straight away if you have a job offer or job with an accredited employer, along with the required qualification, registration or pay level.
Tier 2: Work to Residence
Tier 2 roles let you apply for residence after working in the role in New Zealand for a set period, usually around two years, while meeting the required pay and other criteria.
