Visitor visa streams
The subclass 600 visa has streams for tourism, business visitors, sponsored family visitors and approved destination tour groups. Choosing the right stream for your purpose of travel is the first step to a smooth application.
Showing you are a genuine visitor
Officers check that you intend a temporary stay. Show ties to your home country such as employment, business, property, family and study. A clear travel plan to cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or the Gold Coast also helps.
Funds and invitations
Provide bank statements showing enough funds for travel, stay and return. If family in Australia is supporting you, include their invitation letter, proof of status and evidence of their financial capacity and accommodation.
